Hygienic, Mixing Vessel
Scope of work:
Merck requested a hygienic, pressurised mixing tank equipped with a high shear mixer.
The design required a centrally mounted agitator and multiple nozzles for instrumentation, which added complexity due to the small tank diameter.
Additionally, the client specified that the tank should be mobile for use throughout their facility. Richard Alan’s design team developed a four-legged structure to provide stability, especially considering the placement of the agitator motor on top of the vessel.
