We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to join our team in the water treatment sector. This role combines technical expertise with consultative sales skills to deliver innovative water treatment solutions to industrial, municipal, and commercial clients
Job Description
Sales & Business Development
Identify and prospect new clients who could benefit from our water treatment products and services particularly Polymer dosing systems.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the water and wastewater sector
Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals explaining solutions, costs, payment terms, and delivery timelines
Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both client and company objectives
Manage your own territory, schedule, and accounts while driving revenue growth
Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs, water quality parameters, and system requirements
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
Recommend chemical or equipment solutions (e.g., coagulants, flocculants, antiscalants, disinfectants) tailored to client operations
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure solutions meet technical specifications
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting water treatment
Prepare monthly sales reports and technical documentation
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field but not essential if you have a wealth of experience in atechnical background.
3–5 years of experience in water treatment sales, technical sales engineering, or a related industry
Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within industrial water, wastewater, or process industries
Strong understanding of water treatment processes: filtration, chemical dosing and desalination
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Technical aptitude with ability to translate complex engineering concepts into business value
Proficiency with CRM systems and technical proposal writing
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
Willingness to travel frequently throughout the UK (up to 60–75% field-based work)
